Erb named PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Kristin Erb (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) of the No. 19 Lock Haven University softball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division Pitcher of the Week for her recent efforts in the circle.

The Lady Eagles went 4-0 last week and Erb was a huge reason why, as she started three games in the pitching circle, bringing home wins in all three starts.

Erb kicked off the weekend at the Glenville State College Tournament by shutting out West Virginia State 6-0. She went all seven innings and recorded nine strikeouts. She gave up six hits and walked only one.

Her second start and win of the weekend came in a lopsided 21-1 win over Ohio Valley, where she struck out nine in only four innings of work. She left the game in the fifth with the perfect game intact.

Erb closed out the weekend with a one-hitter against Charleston, where LHU won 9-0. She had six strikeouts.

In Erb’s three appearances, spanning 16 innings of action, she never allowed a run.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday, March 20 at the Salem Invitational Tournament. The first pitch is set for 5 p.m. on Friday against Wheeling Jesuit.
