Erb named PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week for the second time in a row
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the second consecutive week, Kristin Erb (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) of the No. 15 Lock Haven University softball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division Pitcher of the Week.

The Lady Eagles senior-ace had another sensational weekend in the pitching circle, leading LHU to a perfect 5-0 weekend. She grabbed all five wins, which included one no-hitter.

Erb worked 33 total innings and gave up just one earned run. She struck out 38 batters over 33 innings.

Her best performance may have come yesterday when The Haven downed Fairmont State 6-0 and cruised past Alderson-Broaddus 14-0 in five innings.

Erb was sensational against Fairmont State, as she recorded a no-hitter. On the way to the no-hitter she struck out seven.

Lock Haven had the bats going against Alderson-Broaddus, as the Lady Eagles put it away in five innings, winning 14-0.

Erb got the win with another strong effort in the circle. She worked all five innings and recorded nine strikeouts. She gave up only two hits in the win.

Over the five game span, Erb recorded four shutouts.

Erb’s ERA over her 33 innings pitched was 0.21

Yesterday’s no-hitter was the eighth of Erb’s career.

Lock Haven returns to action tomorrow (Tuesday, March 24) at 2:30 p.m. when the Lady Eagles kick off PSAC Central Division action at Mansfield.
