LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Kristin Erb (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) of the No. 9 Lock Haven University softball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division Pitcher of the Week for her recent efforts in the circle.
This is the third week in a row that Erb has collected PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week honors.
Erb, along with Bloomsburg’s Tara Reed were named Co-PSAC Central Pitchers this week.
Erb once again led the No. 9 Lady Eagles to perfect week, as The Haven went 4-0 with Erb earning the win in all four games.
She kicked off the week in a huge way on Tuesday, as LHU opened PSAC Central play.
In game one against Mansfield, Erb was perfect, as she stuck out 13 over six innings on the way to the perfect game.
Lock Haven downed Mansfield 9-0 in Erb perfect game one and followed that up with a 2-1 win to start 2-0 in division play.
In game two against Mansfield, Erb pitched a one-hitter while striking out nine.
She picked up both wins over Mercyhurst on Saturday, striking out 12 over the two games.
Over the four game span she struck out 34 batters and recorded a .26 ERA.
Erb and the Lady Eagles are back in action this afternoon at No. 15 California (Pa.) University.
