LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Seniors Kristin Erb (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and Sarah Norris (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) of the No. 6 Lock Haven University softball team have been honored by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with weekly awards after leading the Lady Eagles to a 9-1 record last week.
For the fourth time in as many weeks, Erb was named PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week and Norris was named PSAC Central Player of the Week.
Erb had another sensational week as her 9-1 record in the circle matched that of her team.
Erb had a big week, as her two wins against IUP put her atop the all-time NCAA Division II wins list for a pitcher.
She’s now 145-17 as a Lady Eagle.
Over the 10-game span, she struck out 73 in 65.2 innings. Erb gave up only 35 hits and just four runs, three of which were earned.
Over that most recent stretch, her ERA was just 0.32.
Norris was Lock Haven’s big bat, as she turned in some timely hits for The Haven.
Over the 10-game stretch, Norris went 14-for-33 at the plate (.424) with a .788 slugging percentage. She also recorded a .472 on-base percentage.
Norris hit three home runs, three doubles and drove in six runs.
Lock Haven is back in action on Wednesday, April 8 at East Stroudsburg.
