LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville) of the No. 6 Lock Haven University lacrosse team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Player of the Week for her recent efforts in leading the Lady Eagles.
Titus had a big week in leading the Lady Eagles, ranked No. 8 at the time to a 2-0 record, which included an upset of Gannon, who was ranked No. 6 at the time on the road.
Titus and her Lady Eagle teammates kicked off their undefeated week with the upset of Gannon in Erie. Titus helped lead LHU with a five-point effort. She scored three goals and assisted two others.
On Saturday, in a 23-5 romp of Seton Hill in non-conference action, Titus tallied six points.
It marked the sixth consecutive game where Titus scored at least three goals. She also dished out a trio of helpers in the lopsided win over SHU.
With the win over Gannon, Lock Haven moved a game ahead of the Golden Knights in the PSAC West standings and into a first-place tie with Mercyhurst.
The Haven is back in action on Thursday, April 9 at 4 p.m. when they travel to IUP for a PSAC West clash.
