LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Seniors Kristin Erb (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and Amanda Roosa (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) of the No. 5 Lock Haven University softball team have been honored by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with weekly awards after leading the Lady Eagles to a 6-0 week.
It marks the second consecutive week, where Lock Haven has swept the PSAC Central awards and the fifth straight week, where Erb has been named PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week.
Roosa, the Lady Eagles catcher picked up PSAC Central Player of the Week after leading the team with the bat, while also playing tremendous defense behind the plate.
Erb was again a huge force behind Lock Haven’s 6-0 week, as she logged the majority of time in the pitching circle.
Erb went 6-0 in 33 total innings of action.
Over the six-game span, she allowed only one walk and gave up just 23 hits.
Erb gave up four runs, only two of which were earned.
Erb recorded 47 strikeouts, while holding the opposition to a .189 batting average.
Her ERA over the six wins was 0.42.
Roosa had a huge week hitting for LHU.
She led The Haven at the plate, as she hit .526 (10-for-19).
Along with her 10 hits, she scored five runs, hit two home runs and recorded a team-best 10 RBIs.
Roosa recorded a .842 slugging percentage and a .550 on-base percentage.
From her catcher position, she tallied 49 putouts and no errors in six games behind the plate.
Roosa followed fellow senior Sarah Norris (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), who was PSAC Central Player of the Week last week.
The Lady Eagles return on action on Friday, April 17 at home when they host Clarion University in Central Division action. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 2:30 p.m.
