BALTIMORE – Junior Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville) of the No. 4 Lock Haven University lacrosse team has been named Nike/Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week for her recent efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to a perfect 3-0 week, that included a win in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game.
Titus was the key behind Lock Haven’s success, as she turned in a tremendous week. She scored seven goals and added a team-best 10 assists to go along with 10 ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Following a six-point PSAC title game, Titus was named PSAC Championship MVP. In the title game, where LHU downed No. 6 West Chester, she scored one goal and set up five others, including The Haven’s first two goals of the game.
In Lock Haven’s 21-11 Semifinal win over Bloomsburg, she scored three goals and dished out a trio of helpers.
Earlier in the week in a huge 19-16 overtime win over No. 7 Gannon, Titus scored three goals and set up two more.
Titus and her Lady Eagles teammates await the NCAA Division II Lacrosse Championship selection, which will come on Sunday evening (May 3).
