IDIANAPOLIS – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team earned a No. 2 seed in South Region for the upcoming NCAA Division II Lacrosse Tournament, the NCAA Lacrosse Committee announced tonight (Sunday, May 3 – 10 p.m. EST).
LHU will host No. 3 seed Mercyhurst College on Saturday, May 9 in NCAA Championship First Round action.
The Lady Eagles and MC split their season series (1-1) with both teams win on the road.
The winner of LHU-MC game will advance to the NCAA Final Four, where they will face Limestone, who took the top-seed in the South Region.
The Lady Eagles are 16-3 overall and were ranked No. 3 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) D-II National Poll.
LHU was ranked No. 2 in the NCAA D-II South Region poll last week.
Most recently Lock Haven won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship after claiming the PSAC regular season crown.
The Final Four is set for May 16-17 at Kerr Field in Salem, Va.
