LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 3 Lock Haven University softball team is set to host the First Round of the NCAA Division II Softball Tournament.

The Haven is one of 64 teams vying for a National Championship, as regional-play kicks off later this week.

LHU has been tabbed as the Atlantic Region’s top-seed and will play host to three other region teams begining on Friday, May 8 at Lock Haven’s Lawrence Field.

Tournament play runs from Friday to Sunday. Thursday is set as a practice day for the teams.

LHU will play host to Bowie State, California (Pa.) and Shippensburg.

Atlantic Region play has been broken into two sites this year, with Kutztown hosting the other regional, as the Atlantic Region’s two-seed.

KU will host West Chester, Bloomsburg and West Virginia Wesleyan.
