LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Brandon Pomerantz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) of the No. 19 Lock Haven University men’s cross country team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Pomerantz took home the individual title at the LHU Invitational this past weekend, as he led the Bald Eagles to a dominating performance.

Pomerantz was first of 74 athletes, but more importantly he led a 1-2-3-4 Haven finish.

Lock Haven’s top foursome came down the homestretch side-by-side, but ultimately, it was the senior taking home the win in his final race on his home course.

Pomerantz covered the 8K course in 26:24.89.

Lock Haven put their top five runners within the race’s top-seven and had eight men finish in the top-15.

The Bald Eagles scored a sensational 17 points to down the nine-team field.

Pomerantz and his Bald Eagle teammates return to action next Saturday (September 19) at the NCAA D-II Pre-Atlantic Regional meet, hosted by Mansfield University.
