LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Former Lock Haven University men’s basketball standout Billy Arre (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) has achieved a lifelong dream and is playing professional basketball in Europe.
Arre, a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven with a degree in Business Management and arguably the best men’s basketball player to ever come through The Haven recently signed with Black Star in Luxembourg.
Arre was a four-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selection and averaged 19.9 a game during his remarkable four-year career.
He was named the PSAC West Player of the Year in 2007 and Rookie of the Year in 2006.
Arre finished his career with 2,112 points, which is the most on the men’s basketball all-time list.
