CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (1-5, 0-5 PSAC West) fell to No. 24 California (Pa.) University (5-1, 4-1 PSAC West) 3-0 today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
The Lady Eagles were down 1-0 at halftime, but two second-half goals by Carley Work put host-Cal on its way to the 3-0 home win.
LHU goalkeeper Kim Bentley (Springdale, Pa./Springdale) kept The Haven in the game with a very solid 90-minute effort. The sophomore made a 15 saves.
Her 15-save effort is the fourth-best in school history for a single game.
The Lady Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 19 when they play host to Edinboro in conference action at noon.
