LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the third consecutive week, freshman Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, Chinda/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week for her recent efforts on the court.

The Lady Eagles went 2-2 last week in PSAC Crossover action and Xuan led The Haven offensively in every match.

Over the four-match span, she recorded a team-high 53 kills (13.3/match & 3.31/game).

Xuan helped Lock Haven respond from a 0-2 start to the weekend with two big wins. She was a key in both 3-0 victories over both Slippery Rock and IUP.

Xuan hit .455 with 12 kills in the win over SRU.

She followed that up with another 12-kill effort in the IUP match. Against IUP, Xuan was practically unstoppable and hit a sizzling .632.

In all four matches she recorded 12 or more kills, including a week-high 17 against defending Atlantic Region champions and rival California (Pa.).

Over the four-match span Xuan also had 58 digs.

Xuan and her Lady Eagle teammates are back in action on Friday (September 25) night at 7 p.m. when they host West Chester in PSAC East action.
