MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (14-4, 4-0 PSAC East) extended its win streak to six matches and improved to a perfect 4-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action after the Lady Eagles cruised past Millersville University 3-0 today on the road.
Lock Haven took control early and won 25-12, 25-8 and 25-10.
The Haven hasn’t dropped a set in its last six wins.
Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Australia/Gladstone) turned in a 10-kill effort to help ace Lock Haven’s offense. She also added seven digs.
Haley Gribler (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy-Liberty) turned in another fantastic outing for Lock Haven. The sophomore hit .421 with nine kills and 12 digs.
Arlana Roland (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) was very strong for the Lady Eagles. She had five kills while hitting .444. She also added two aces, nine digs and three block assists.
Kim Windstein (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) led LHU with four block assists.
Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) had 10 digs to lead LHU.
Fabiana Gomez (Montevideo, Uruguay/Consejo de E.S.) recorded 27 assists to pace Lock Haven’s attack. She also chipped in with nine digs.
The Lady Eagles return to action next weekend in PSAC Crossover action, hosted by Shippensburg. Lock Haven will be in action on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 10-11).
