LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Nick Hilton (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) of the No. 17 Lock Haven University men’s cross country team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his recent efforts in leading the Bald Eagles.
Hilton turned in a very solid outing at the 2009 Brooks-Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh.
Hilton covered the 8K course at the prestigious meet in a very respectable 24:28.
He was the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s (PSAC) top-finisher and led LHU to a 26th overall finish in the College Men’s Gold Race.
Lock Haven was 26th of 42 teams and Hilton took 39th in the 386-runner field loaded with talent.
This is the second such honor this season for The Haven men, as senior Brandon Pomerantz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) took home runner of the week honors on September 14.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Friday, October 16 when they travel to Penn State University for the Penn State National Invitational. The gun goes off at 10 a.m. at PSU.
