SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (17-4) downed Edinboro University 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-16 & 25-18) today at Shippensburg.

The win extended the Lady Eagles win streak to nine matches.

Leading the way for The Haven was Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Australia/Gladstone), who had a team-high 11 kills with just one error in 22 total attempts.

Naumann hit a sizzling .454 and also added three aces and 10 digs.

Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) had nine kills and 21 digs.

Haley Gribler (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy-Liberty) added seven kills and three aces to help pace Lock Haven’s attack.

Christina Laury (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) tallied three aces and 16 digs, while Fabiana Gomez (Montevideo, Uruguay/Consejo de E.S.) was all over the court again for LHU.

Gomez had 20 digs, one solo block and three block assists.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. when they travel to East Stroudsburg University for Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
