PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (3-8-1) dropped an overtime thriller today on the road at Lake Erie College (6-5-2) 2-1 non-conference action.
The Lady Eagles went up 1-0 in the 18th minute and held that lead at halftime.
Carly D'Orsaneo (Elverson, Pa./Living Word Academy) scored The Haven’s goal and Amy Wittman (Delmont, Pa./Franklin Regional) and Arielle Gordon (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) were both credited with assists.
Lake Erie tied the game in the 64th minute and Kaitlyn Holland scored just 5:34 into overtime to give the hosts the win.
Haley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) made three saves for Lock Haven.
The Lady Eagles return home for a match against Mercyhurst College at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14 at 3 p.m.
