LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Australia/Gladstone) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week.

The honor marks the sixth consecutive week a Lady Eagle has taken home East Player of the Week honors.

Naumann was rewarded for an all-around stellar performance that helped Lock Haven go 3-0 in PSAC Crossover action at Shippensburg.

LHU beat Gannon 3-0, Mercyhurst 3-1 and Edinboro 3-1 of the Western Division to improve to 17-4 overall.

The senior outside hitter recorded 30 kills (2.73/game & 10/match), while hitting a red-hot .355.

Naumann added four aces, including three in a big win over Edinboro. She also added 25 digs to round out a solid effort in The Haven’s three matches.

Along with her three aces against the Fighting Scots, Naumann also knocked down 11 kills and hit a sizzling .454 in the match.

She added 13 kills and a torrid .521 kill percentage in the win over MC, as her play led Lock Haven all week.

The three wins extended Lock Haven’s win streak to nine matches.

Last week Haley Gribler (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy-Liberty) was named player of the week and the four weeks prior to that Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) took home the honor.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on tonight (Tuesday, October 13) at 7 p.m. when they travel to East Stroudsburg University for Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
