Naumann named PSAC East Volleyball Player of the Week
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Austrailia/Gladstone) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Naumann’s Player of the Week award marks the eighth straight week a Lady Eagle has been named PSAC East Player of the Week honors.

Naumann had a huge hand in helping Lock Haven to a 3-0 week. She played in two key matches for LHU, who improved to 27-4 overall and 14-2 in PSAC play.

Naumann recorded a team-high 31 kills in two matches.

She also helped chipped in with 33 digs.

In an all-important 3-2 win at Kutztown, she knocked down 18 kills and added 15 digs before turning in another solid effort at West Chester, in The Haven’s 3-1 win.

Against the Golden Rams, Naumman hit .440 with 13 kills and just three errors. She also had 18 digs at WCU.

The three wins helped LHU extend its most recent unbeaten stretch to 19 matches.

Lock Haven returns to action on Friday, October 30 at 6 p.m. when they host Millersville University. The Lady Eagles will host their 2009 Dig Pink event in conjunction with the Millersville match.
