MANSFIELD, Pa. – Four Haven harriers earned All-Region status today, as the Lock Haven University men’s and women’s cross teams competed at the 2009 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships in Mansfield, Pa.
The No. 12 Bald Eagles were third overall behind region-champion Shippensburg and Edinboro.
The Haven was led by three All-Region performers, including junior Nick Hilton (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township), who was second overall.
Hilton covered the 10K course in 31:19.
Brandon Pomerantz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) and Nathan Zondlo (Avoco, Pa./Pittston Area) both earned All-Region status as well, after they took fifth and 12th, respectively.
Pomerantz clocked a 31:35, while Zondlo finished in 32:10.
Mitch Miller (Morrisville, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton) was 20th overall for LHU.
On the women’s side, the Lady Eagles took sixth overall.
The Haven women were led by All-Region performer Lindsey Lambert (Howell, N.J./Howell). Lambert, a sophomore was 12th overall and covered the 6K course in 22:07.
Freshman Lindsay Topper (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was 19th overall for the Lady Eagles and clocked a 22:24.
