CLARION, Pa. – Several members of the Lock Haven University wrestling team took the mats today to compete at the Clarion Open, hosted by Clarion University.

A trio of Bald Eagles, faired quite well.

Dan Craig (Paw Paw, Mich./Allegan) led the way, as he took home the championship at 285. Craig downed American University’s Mingo Grant 7-4 in the title bout.

Harry Turner (Howell, N.J./Howell) was fourth at 285.

Nick Hyatt (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) rounded out LHU’s strong early season performance with a fifth-place showing at 125.

LHU officially kicks off the 2009-10 season on Sunday, Nov. 15 at the Brute Binghamton Open in Binghamton, N.Y.
