Prior to today's match the Lady Eagles took time to honor their seniors for all the contributions they've made to Haven women's soccer program

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (8-8-1, 3-4-1 PSAC West) fell to Edinboro University (8-4-3, 2-3 PSAC West) 2-1 today on McCollum Field in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) double-overtime thriller.
Trailing 1-0 and with less than three minutes to play in regulation sophomore Melinda Dodson (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) netted the equalizer giving the Lady Eagles new hope and eventually sending the match into overtime.
Dodson finished home a Sarah Thomas (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) cross from eight yards out.
In the second the overtime Edinboro was able to sneak one past Lady Eagle goalkeeper Emily Wagner (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) giving the visitors the win.
Wagner made 11 saves the contest.
Lynnette Reitz (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) played a very strong game defensively for the Haven while also creating several strong scoring chances for LHU off set pieces.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. on the road at IUP in PSAC West Action.
