Getting to Know: Adam Andrasko

Adam Andrasko

As we continue our segment featuring Bald Eagle athletes, we move to the football team and Adam Andrasko.

Andrasko is in the midst of his senior season with the Bald Eagles, and also serves as one of the captains of the squad. A converted fullback, Andrasko is the starting inside linebacker and has already made an immediate impact. During his high school days, Adam was twice named as a First-Team All Conference Selection and also played in the Lezzer Lumber Classic. While not on the football field he was the president of the National Honor Society and also earned letters in baseball and wrestling while at West Branch High School. A Hawk Run Pa. native, Adam is the son of Edward and Dawn Andrasko and is a senior Sports Administration major.

1. What is your favorite class and why?

- Intramural Supervision, its a hands on class and it produces a challenge for me. We were required to produce a business plan and I really enjoyed the independence that the professor provided us with.

2. To date, what has been the highlight of your Lock Haven career?

- Every time I get to walk out on to the football field as a captain, it’s a highlight for me.

3. What’s your favorite movie and why?

- Gladiator. It’s an epic, exciting movie where a single man defeats and then changes the fate of an empire.

4. Who has been your biggest non-sports role model and why?

- My father, he works hard everyday and strives to be the best in his profession and he has always been there to support me.

5. If you were stranded on an island and could only eat one meal, listen to one song and be with one person; what would you eat, what would you listen to and who would you bring?

- I would eat a prime rib dinner, I’d listen to Message in a Bottle by The Police and I would be with Bear Grylls.

6. What is the best advice that you have ever been given and who gave it to you?

- Do whatever you can for the people around you. Many people in my life have emphasized the importance of respecting others and helping them grow will help you achieve more.

7. What CD do you have in your collection or song in your iPod that would surprise people?

- I don’t know if it’s a surprise but I listen to Lifehouse constantly.

8. If a movie was made about your life, what would it be titled and who would star as you?

- Potential for Perfection, starring me would be Russell Crowe

9. Who were your sports idols as a kid and why?

- Bo Jackson and Jim Kelly. I liked Bo because he was such an amazing two sport athlete, and I like Jim Kelly because my dad loves the Bills and Jim was such a great competitor and smart player.

10. Describe what it feels like on game day and playing at Hubert Jack Stadium?

- I know that every time I take the field I have a positive nervous energy. When the home fans are there yelling for you and the team there is no greater excitement that I have experienced.
