Bald Eagles Fall to ESU in Regular Season Finale, Set to Host PSAC Playoff Game Next Week

Prior to the start of today's match, the Bald Eagles honored their five seniors. Despite the loss LHU will host a PSAC playoff game next week.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (12-6, 11-5 PSAC) dropped their regular-season finale to visiting East Stroudsburg University (17-2-1, 14-2 PSAC) 1-0 in a battle of the conference’s top-two sides.

Coming into today’s match the Bald Eagles had already clinched the number-two spot heading into the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs while ESU already held claim to the top-spot.

Prior to the start of today’s match the Bald Eagles took a moment to honor their five seniors including Ashley Rosindale (Bradford, England/Beckfoot School), Phil Liversedge (Darlington, England/Texas A&M International), Adam Wolf (Telford, Pa./Souderton), Chad Feerrar (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) and Matt Deming (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland).

ESU went up 1-0 in the 16th minute of play and that’s how it ended.

Ferrar got the start in net and made three saves all of which came in the first half of play.

Deming saw action in the last 15 minutes of the match and was tested several times, as he was forced to make several spectacular diving stops. He made four in all.

The Bald Eagles will host a PSAC playoff match on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. As of press time their opponent was still to be determined.
