Three Bald Eagles Garner First-Team PSAC Accolades

Junior Lyndell Pompey was a First Team PSAC selection after helping anchor the Haven's defensive unit.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced today that three members of the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team were named First Team All-PSAC, while two Bald Eagles earned a spot on the Second Team.

Leading the way for the Bald Eagles was the team’s leading scorer, senior and co-captain Ashley Rosindale (Bradford, England/Beckfoot School). Rosindale finished the season with 10 goals and 14 assists, good for 34 points.

This is Rosindale’s fourth first-team All-PSAC honor in his career. His 10 goals on the year give him 46 over his career, which ranks him fourth all-time in Lock Haven history. His 14 assists on the season give him a career total of 31 assists, which puts him second behind Lock Haven greats Mark Waite and Mark Ford.

His 34 points on the season give him 123, which also ranks him fourth all-time in the LHU record books.

Also being named to the first team was junior Paul Huckett (Grimsby, England/Bradford College). This is Huckett’s second first team honor, with the first coming in his freshman season. Last year, Huckett was named to the second team.

Huckett, still only a junior, has 37 goals on his career, and 23 assists, which both rank him eighth all-time in the Lock Haven record books.

The third Bald Eagle making the first team was junior Lyndell Pompey (Narapima College/Wheeling Jesuit). Pompey, the transfer from Wheeling Jesuit, was an All-Appalachian Region selection a year ago. In his first season at the Haven, he was one of the staples in the Lock Haven defense that allowed just over one goal a game. Pompey also had two goals off corner kicks this year.

Making the second team were the other two mainstays on the back line for The Haven, in senior Phil Liversedge (Darlington, England/Texas A&M International) and sophomore co-captain Andrew Clemens, both of whom made the second team a year ago.

The squad finished the season with an overall record of 13-7 and went 11-5 in the PSAC, falling in double overtime for the second consecutive year to East Stroudsburg University in the PSAC Championship game.
