EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Senior Ashley Rosindale (Bradford, England/Beckfoot School) of the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team has been named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Northeast Region First-Team squad for the fourth time in his illustrious career at Lock Haven.
This is Rosindale’s fourth first-team All-Region honor of his career. His 10 goals on the year give him 46 on his career, which ranks him fourth all-time in Lock Haven history. His 14 assists on the season give him a career total of 31 assists, which puts him second behind Lock Haven greats Mark Waite and Mark Ford. His 34 points on the season give him 123, which also ranks him fourth all-time in the LHU record books.
With this honor, Rosindale solidifies himself as one of the best players to come through LHU in the last decade. Rosindale is the first 100 point scorer since Steve Slack accomplished the feat in 1997.
Earning second-team honors for the Haven was junior Paul Huckett (Grimsby, England/Grimsby College) and senior Phil Liversedge (Darlington, England/Texas A&M International).
Huckett, still only a junior, has 37 goals on his career, and 23 assists, which both rank him eighth all-time in the Lock Haven record books.
This is Huckett’s second all-region selection, the first coming his freshman in 2005. Huckett earned second-team all-region accolades last season.
Liversedge, who was named to the first-team last season, picks up second-team honors this year after moving from center back to a defensive midfield position. Liversedge was the rock of the Lock Haven midfield this season, making his presence known with a combination of skill and physicality. He had three goals on the season, the biggest coming in an overtime win over California (Pa.) University on Sept. 6.
The squad finished the season with an overall record of 13-7 overall and went11-5 in the PSAC, falling in double overtime for the second consecutive year to East Stroudsburg University in the PSAC Championship game.
