INDIANA, Pa. – Freshman Amanda Terray (Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley) of the Lock Haven University swim team became the first Lady Eagle in the school’s history to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships today at the Indiana (Pa.) University Crimson Hawk Invitational.
In the prelims of the 100 backstroke Terry was clocked in 58.14, which hit the NCAA “A” cut time qualifying her for the NCAA championships in March in Columbia, Missouri.
Her time of 58.14 also smashed her own school record set earlier this season.
She will have a chance to better her mark later today when she competes in the finals at IUP.
Terray and her Lady Eagles teammates are competing in the IUP meet which kicked off yesterday and concludes on Saturday.
A full release will be posted following all competition on Saturday (Nov. 17). Check back to HavenSports.com for the full recap then.
