LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University football team recently got into the holiday spirit lending a helping hand in the local community while recently leading a food drive, with the donations going to the Lock Haven Salvation Army.
Each Bald Eagle football player donated a full meal to the Salvation Army.
LHU head football coach John Klacik noted the importance of helping the local community.
“We take great pride in being able to help those in need this time of year. Our partnership with the Salvation Army has allowed us to give back to the Lock Haven community,” said Klacik.
The local community and the Salvation Army were also very appreciative.
“It’s terrific to have the extra supplies, it’s always needed and very much appreciated,” said Major Sandra Ammerman of the Lock Haven Salvation Army.
