MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team (7-6, 1-3 EWL) fell to West Virginia University (6-3, 3-0 EWL) 30-6 on the road today in Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action.

Coming off Friday night’s 28-13 win over Cleveland State University in league action the Bald Eagles only managed two individual wins today.

At 125 freshman John Trumbetti (Montvale, N.J./St. Joseph Regional) continued to impress, downing WVU’s Kyel Turnbull 7-0.

The Haven’s other win came at 149, where redshirt-junior Matt Fittery (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) topped West Virginia’s David Jauregui 8-2.

Fittery and Trumbetti lead LHU in wins on the season with 17 and 15, respectively.

The Bald Eagles are back in action on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Bucknell University.
