TAKOMA PARK, Md. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (3-3) split their doubleheader today with Columbia Union College.
The Bald Eagles fell in the first game today 6-5 and won the second 8-4.
LHU led in game one until the bottom of the seventh inning.
Matt McCamley (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) led the Bald Eagles at the plate in game one after going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In game two freshman Andrew Simonik (Jermyn, Pa./Lakeland High School) picked up the win.
Matt Palko (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area) hit a two RBI homerun in game two to help the Bald Eagles win.
Scott Gaston (Bergenfield, NJ/Bergen Catholic) also had a strong game two at the plate going 3-for-3.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Thursday, March 6 at 9 a.m. when they take on Stonehill College on their spring trip in Fort Myers, Fla. The Bald Eagles will be in action from March 6-14 in the Sunshine state.
