LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Junior Jessica Blickenstaff (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) of the No. 6 Lock Haven University lacrosse team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Week, the conference office announced today (March 23).
The Lady Eagles started their PSAC slate in dominating fashion with wins
over IUP and East Stroudsburg by scores of 17-5 and 23-6, respectively.
Blickenstaff, the 2007 Division II Midfielder of the Year was big part of the Haven’s potent Haven attack in the two big wins.
She had a team-best 12 points over the two-game span. The Haven's leader in the midfield scored eight goals and set up four others with assists. Blickenstaff scored four goals in each of the Haven’s conference wins as they improved to 3-1 overall.
Blickenstaff will again look to lead the Lady Eagles when they are back in action on Tuesday, March 25 at 4 p.m. at arch rival West Chester University, the nation’s third-ranked team.
