Matt Palko drove in the game-winning run for the Bald Eagles in the bottom half of the eighth inning of game two today.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - For second time this season the Lock Haven University baseball team (9-13) split a doubleheader with Columbia Union College (8-14).
The Bald Eagles fell in game one of the twin bill 12-4, but took game two 8-7 after some late inning heroics.
In game one LHU scored its four runs off seven hits.
Leading the way at the plate was Nick Harner (Dauphin, Pa./Chowan College), who was 2-for-4 with one RBI and Evan Petro (Johnstown, Pa./Richland), who went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
In game two it took some late inning heroics for the Bald Eagles to earn the win.
Junior Matt Palko (Freeland, Pa./Hazelton Area) provided the fireworks in the bottom of the eight inning driving in the game-winning run.
He was 2-for-5 in game two with three RBI and one run scored.
Tim Bremen (Effort, Pa./Sussex County C.C.) was perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in game two.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Saturday, March 28 at noon when they travel to California (Pa.) University for the Haven’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division opener.
