LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (10-16, 1-3 PSAC West) split a doubleheader with California (Pa.) University (11-7, 3-1 PSAC) in division action today at Foundation Field.
The Bald Eagles took game one 9-4, but dropped the second game of the day 10-5.
The Haven’s nine runs came off nine hits, including a Matt Palko (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area) grand slam in the bottom of the third.
Palko was 1-for-3 with five RBI in game one.
Evan Petro (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) was 2-for-3 and Mark Strouse (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) was 2-for-4 in game one.
Jordan Yohn (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntington) went the distance on the mound in game one. He gave up four runs on seven hits, walked five and struck out five.
LHU fell 10-5 in game two.
Tim Bremen (Effort, Pa./Sussex County C.C.) was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Brain Kochik (Snow Shoe, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) was 2-for-4 with three RBI.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, April 1 at noon when they play host to Mansfield.
