LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Head Lock Haven University wrestling coach Rocky Bonomo was selected to be a featured guest clinician at the Brute/Adidas National Freestyle Championships in Kansas City, Mo.
For the second year in a row, Bonomo and his brother Rick, were tabbed as specialists to provide a pair of free clinics at the National Freestyle Tournament for school aged grapplers.
After just wrapping up his sixth season at the helm of the program in MatTown USA, Bonomo will be the featured clinician with his brother on Friday, April 4 and Saturday April 5.
During his wrestling days at Bloomsburg, Bonomo was a two-time All-American and a six time conference champion and brings many years of coaching experience to the forefront, including 17 years at Lock Haven as he helped mentor 14 All-Americans, including two-time National Champion Cary Kolat.
Bonomo has taught numerous clinics across the nation with some of the finest wrestlers and wrestling coaches in the land including clinics with legendary Iowa mentor Dan Gable and four time National Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Cael Sanderson.
The National Tournament runs from April 4 through April 6 and is held at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.
