MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer recently began their 2008 spring season in preparation for the upcoming fall campaign.

LHU opened its spring slate at the Millersville University 7v7 Tournament competing against several other Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams.

On hand was East Stroudsburg, Kutztown and Shippensburg along with Shepherd University of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVICA).

The Lady Eagles brought home the championship at the one-day event.

LHU coach Heather Davis was quite pleased with the team’s efforts and said there was “fantastic performances all around.”

Davis also commented on the stand out performance by goalie Katie Smithmyer (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte).
