LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Junior Jessica Blickenstaff (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) of the No. 6 Lock Haven University lacrosse team was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Week for her efforts in the leading the Lady Eagles to perfect week.

The Lady Eagles went 3-0 with wins over No. 7 Gannon, Shippensburg University and local rival Bloomsburg University.

Over the three-game span, Blickenstaff, LHU’s playmaker in the midfield had 14 points including 10 goals and four assists.

The Lady Eagles started the week with a 15-8 win over regional power Gannon in a battle of two the nation’s best teams. Blickenstaff led the Haven with a seven-point outing. She had five goals and two assists.

She had three points in the 8-7 win over Shippensburg, contributing a goal and two assists. Despite only scoring one goal it came at just the right moment for Lock Haven, as her tally with just 33 seconds left in the contest gave LHU the important conference win on the road.

In a lopsided 20-9 win over Bloomsburg on Saturday she added four goals.

This is the second such honor this season for Blickenstaff.

The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow (Tuesday, April 8) at home when they play host to Slippery Rock University at 4 p.m.
