SHIPPENSBURG Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (16-34, 5-15 PSAC West) closed out its 2008 season with two losses on the road at Shippensburg University (33-21, 14-6 PSAC West) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.

The Bald Eagles lost 10-3 and 9-2 as the bats were again quite against a very talented Shippensburg team.

With the sweep of today’s twin bill Ship clinched the PSAC Western Division regular season title with there 14-6 mark in the Western Division.

In game one LHU scored its three runs on nine hits and was led by Kevin Kochka (Norristown, Pa./Methacton) who was 2-for-2 at the plate, while scoring one run.

In game two, the Bald Eagles scored their two runs on five hits.

Leading the way at the plate was Evan Petro (Johnstown, Pa./Richland), who was 2-for-4 with a run scored..

The Bald Eagles finished the 2008 season 16-34 overall and 5-15 in the PSAC Western Division.
