Jessica Blickenstaff earned D-II Midfielder of the Year for the second consecutive year.

BALTIMORE – The post season honors continue to accumulate for the Lock Haven University lacrosse team as junior Jessica Blickenstaff (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) was named the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Midfielder of the Year.
This is Blickenstaff’s second consecutive year receiving this well deserved honor. She has also been a three time IWLCA All-American for the Lady Eagles.
This season Blickenstaff led her team in goals, assists, and points with 75, 43, and 118, respectively. She also tallied a season-best 12 points in front of her home crowd helping her team defeat Shippensburg University.
Not only was Blickenstaff an offensive threat for the Haven, but a dangerous defender as well. She scooped up 37 ground balls, caused nine turnovers, and controlled 37 center draws.
In her three year career at LHU she has broken the school record in goals and points with 210 and 317, respectively. She is also currently second all-time in assists with 107.
She made an immediate impact on the team when she joined in 2006 being named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Rookie of the Year and has continued to grow and make her mark throughout her incredible career here at Lock Haven.
