MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swim team (1-0, 1-0 PSAC) turned in another strong early season performance today as the Lady Eagles cruised past Mansfield University 90-59.
LHU head coach Andy Waeger was very pleased with this team’s effort.
Leading the way for Lock Haven today was junior Amanda Palmer (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East).
Palmer took first place in the 200 butterfly with an impressive early season time of 2:19.72.
The time qualifies her for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.
That certainly had Waeger pleased, as this is the earliest in the season Palmer has qualified for the PSAC meet.
Waeger was also happy with the performance of his freshman today.
Rookies Kasey Campbell (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy), Erin McCracken (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) and Nicole Faulstick (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area) all turned in solid showings the 1000 yard free.
The Lady Eagles dive back into the pool on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. when they host East Stroudsburg University in Zimmerli Pool.
