Women’s Basketball falls to Millersville
 

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (0-2) fell to Millersville University (2-0) 84-65 this afternoon at the Maruaders MU Tipoff Classic.

With the loss the Lady Eagles fall to 0-2 on the young season.

The Haven was led by three players, who scored in double-figures.

Senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) and freshman Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) both scored 12 points apiece to lead LHU’s offensive threat.

Nesmith, who has been impressive to say the least thus far also pulled down a team-high six rebounds, while Kelshaw grabbed four.

Marisa Elliot (Hanover, Pa./Hagerstown C.C) had a strong scoring touch for the second game in a row, as she helped the Lady Eagles offense with an 11-point outing.

Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) added nine points and a game-high three steals.

Rookie Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) chipped in offensively with eights point.

LHU was up six early leading 8-2 less than four minutes into the contest, but Millersville would take over, leading by as many as 15 in the first half.

Lock Haven trailed 42-31 at the break. Host Millersville led by as many as 22 in the second, but LHU played hard down the stretch trying to cut into the lead.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 25 in their 2008 home opener. LHU will play host to Penn College with tipoff set for 6 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.
