LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven University men’s and women’s cross country coach Aaron Russell has been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Associated Atlantic Region Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Russell recently led the Bald Eagles to the 2008 Atlantic Region crown.

The most recent crown was The Haven’s fifth in the last six years. Lock Haven was the regional runner-up last season.

The Bald Eagles finished third at this year’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.

Russell and his Bald Eagle squad will look to end their season on high note Saturday, Nov. 22 at the NCAA Division II National Championships at Slippery Rock University. The men’s race is set to go off at noon.
