LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (1-2) had the offense firing on all cylinders tonight in Thomas Fieldhouse as the Lady Eagles cruised past Penn College (4-3) 104-61 The Haven’s 2008 home opener.
Lock Haven was led by four players in double-figures scoring, as LHU racked up their highest offensive output since a 101-29 win over Bridgeport on Dec. 4, 1999.
The win marked the first of the season for the Lady Eagles, who are 1-2 overall.
A strong shooting night all over court was the big key for LHU head coach Jennifer Smith and her squad.
The Lady Eagles shot a strong 55 percent from the field, while hitting on 55 percent of their chances from down town. LHU was also solid at the line as The Haven hit 48 percent from the charity stripe.
