WILMINGTON, Del. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (2-5) lost to Wilmington (Del.) University (6-3) 75-59 tonight on the road in non-conference action.
The Lady Eagles were paced by freshman Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) and senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly), who scored 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Rookie Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) added eight points and five rebounds, as she led a trio of Haven players, who pulled down five boards in the loss.
Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) chipped in with six points and Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) dished out eight assists to go along with her five rebounds.
Lock Haven trailed 42-21 at halftime.
The Lady Eagles return to action on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. when they play host to Goldey-Beacom College in non-conference action. LHU is 1-1 at home this season.
