Lady Eagles roll past Goldey-Beacom College
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-5) fired on all cylinders as they defeated Goldey-Beacom College (4-5) 64-50 tonight in non-conference women’s hoops action in Thomas Fieldhouse.

The Lady Eagles quickly extended their seven point halftime lead in the second.

LHU led by as many as fifteen in the second half, by way of hitting 15-of-32 shots from the floor.

Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa/Weatherly) drained 19 points and Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/ Northeast) added 13 during her eighteen minutes of action.

Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va/ Goldey-Beacom College) ignited the offense by snagging 12 of her game-high 13 boards on the defensive end.

Donelan also added six points to help pace the scoring, while Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) contributed six as well.

Both Donelan and Miller dished out five assists. Miller had an all-around solid night, as the junior-guard also recorded a game-high six steals.

Evebonee Acosta led the way for the Lightning with game-high 20 points.

With the win, The Haven improves to 2-1 in the friendly confines of Thomas Fieldhouse.

The Lady Eagles return to the hardwood on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m. when they host the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in non-conference action.
