Wrestling set for duals with Princeton and Millersville
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team (2-3) is set to for duals with Millersville and Princeton tomorrow at Millersville University.

The Match:

The Bald Eagles will be in action tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 20) at 9 a.m. with duals against host-Millersville and Princeton. LHU takes on Princeton at 9 a.m. followed by the Princeton match at noon.

Lock Haven is 2-3 overall and the Bald Eagles are coming off 2-1 weekend, where they easily flew past East Stroudsburg and Drexel, before being edged by Rutgers in the third and final match of the LHU Duals.

LHU beat ESU 34-9 by way of seven wins, including the first five of the match. LHU downed Drexel 27-13 before being edged by Rutgers 24-19.

Princeton is 2-6 overall and has wins over Franklin and Marshall and Delaware State. Millersville is 2-0 in duals with wins over Wagner and Delaware State.

The Series:

Lock Haven is 35-3-1 all-time against Millersville and won last year’s meeting in Millersville, Pa. 19-9. The Bald Eagles have won 21 straight dual-meet matches against the Marauders. LHU is 1-0 all-time vs. the Tigers of Princeton with their only meeting coming in 1975. LHU won 27-6.

Back in action

LHU is back in action at the Southern Scuffle on December 29-30 (Monday – Tuesday). The Scuffle is hosted by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center with action running all day on the 29th and 30th of Dec. The Bald Eagles kick off 2009 in a big way when they travel the short distance to Penn State. LHU will take on the No. 15 Nittany Lions on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. in Rec Hall.
