Bald Eagles edged by Shippensburg 76-75
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (2-5) was edged by Shippensburg (6-1) 76-75 in a hard fought Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover contest in Thomas Fieldhouse this afternoon.

True-freshman Eric Brennan (Chester, Pa/ West Cathloic (Philadelphia) led all Bald Eagle scorers with a career-high 24 points.

Three other Bald Eagles also scored in double figures.

Warren Christian (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville C.C.)) added 20 points, while Jarrell Spence (Philadelphia/Scotland School) and Kelvin McClean (Newport, Va/Heritage) knocked down 10.

Brennan also helped his team on the defensive end by pulling down six boards.

Christian stood tall in the paint, by grabbing six rebounds and swatting two blocks.

With three minutes in regulation, McClean’s back-to-back three-pointers gave the Bald Eagles a two point lead, 72-70, but the inside presence of Derrick Graff and his team-high 19 points helped Shippensburg seal the win.

The Bald Eagles return to action on Monday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. against Youngstown State and return home against Bloomsburg on January 3, 2009.
