Lady Eagles edged by Bloom in PSAC thriller
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A last second jumper would not fall for the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-7) as the Lady Eagles lost to Bloomsburg University 75-73 at home in Thomas Fieldhouse in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.

Katie Kendall (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tied the LHU school record by hitting seven three pointers and led all scorers with a game-high 21 points.

Her seven three-pointers matches the school record, which she shares with Suzie Baird, who hit the mark in 1993.

Two other Lady Eagles scored in double-figures in the loss.

Milan Dry (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar) scored 11 points and snagged six boards and Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) was a strong presence inside scoring 10 poitns, while grabbing six boards.

Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) had a solid outing for The Haven. She dished out a game-high five assists, grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and scored six points for the Lady Eagles.

Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) had five rebounds, four assists and three steals to help pace LHU.

Bloomsburg had four players in double figures this afternoon. Kelsey Gallagher led the way with 19. Kelly Joyce and Colleen Kegerreis added 15 and Lauren Healy scored 11 points in the win for the Huskies.

The Lady Eagles return to action tomorrow (Sunday, Jan. 4) as they host Mansfield University at 1 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.
