EDINBORO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-11, 0-1 PSAC West) fell 62-38 at Edinboro University (10-4, 1-0 PSAC West) in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West opener for both teams.
Senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Lady Eagles. She also pulled down six rebounds.
Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) added eight points and grabbed four boards to help pace Lock Haven’s effort on the road tonight.
Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) led LHU with seven rebounds.
Lock Haven put forth a strong effort in the second half outscoring its hosts 29-25 after trailing 37-9 at halftime.
Edinboro was led by two players in double figures as the Fighting Scots shot 41 percent from the field.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. when they welcome No. 6 California (Pa.) University.
