INDIANA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-13, 0-3 PSAC West) fell to No. 9 Indiana (Pa.) University (14-2, 3-0) 63-29 on the road at IUP in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
IUP was ranked No. 9 in the latest USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
Senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) led the way for the Lady Eagles with an eight-point night. She also led the team with six rebounds and three steals.
Katie Kendall (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) added six points. She was 2-for-5 from three-point range on the night.
Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) grabbed six rebounds with three coming on each end of the floor, as she looked to help pace LHU.
Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) chipped in with five points.
Lock Haven trailed IUP 44-15 at the break.
IUP was led by two players in double figures and the Crimson Hawks shot 45 percent.
Jahzinga Tracey led the way for Indiana, netting a game-high 22 points.
The Lady Eagles return to the hardwood on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. when they play host to Mercyhurst University in PSAC West action.
