LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-14, 0-4 PSAC West) was defeated 74-61 by Mercyhurst College (8-9, 2-2 PSAC West) this afternoon at Thomas Fieldhouse in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western division action.

Senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) led all Lady Eagle scorers with a team-high 18 points. She also dished out two assists and forced two steals in the loss.

Freshman Sharay Hall (Philadelphia, Pa./Carver)also had a strong showing on the hardwood by closing in on a double-double. She had eight points and 10 rebounds for Lock Haven.

Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) added nine points and six boards and Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) had nine points and snagged three rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

Mercyhurst had two players in double figures in the contest, which was the key to its division win today on the road.

The Lakers were led by Stephanie Prischak, who scored with a game-high 19 points.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 28 as they host Slippery Rock in PSAC division action. The contest is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
